New Dorm Construction:

Itaya Construction Company will hold a groundbreaking ceremony on January 31 to mark the start of the construction work on the dorm expansion.
This means the front parking lot will be closed to use from January 30. HIS will keep the back parking lot open to parents during the construction period.
Construction will begin on February 1st with the removal of the storage sheds that currently stand next to the main dorm.
We thank you for your understanding and ask that parents use the drop off the driveway at the front of the building whenever possible.

After School Elementary Pickup Reminder:  Elementary parents please be sure to pick child(ren) up on time.  Please understand that by 3:45 at the latest, they need to be directly under your care.
In winter months especially, there are often too many children running around the MPR and up and down the stairs while waiting for their parents to take them home.  Aside from being dangerous, this is disturbing to teachers who have many after-school duties.
If your child is in an afterschool activity, please note that the pickup time will be 4:30
Thank-you so much for your understanding.

Semester Report Cards
As we approach the end of the semester (January 25th), students should be working hard to complete their final assessments.

Secondary: Reports will be downloadable on Alma as of Wednesday, February 7th

Next PTA Steering Committee Meeting -
Wednesday, February 7th at 3:45 in the teacher’s lounge.

 Husky Lunch

Please see HERE for the Husky Lunch Menu for the week of January 29 - February 2.

The HS girls basketball team and Coach Kaori are to be congratulated on their 3rd place finish last weekend`s WJAA tournament in Kobe. Only a last-second `nail-biting` loss to Marist IS kept them from the championship game. They comfortably defeated Nagoya IS to claim 3rd place and also retain the Husky-Dolphin Challenge Trophy. Huge thanks also to Mr. Aseltine who took these great pics and also steamed the games live to us back here.
The HS boys were not quite as fortunate as they claimed 4th place … they beat Marist IS and Canadian Academy but were defeated by Nagoya IS and KIUA twice. Coach Mario will be looking to refresh the team for this weeks SFC.
We also want to thank Ms. Tanya for chaperoning the boys and her enthusiastic cheering on the live stream!
The whole team is to be warmly thanked for the way that they looked after Rohit after her hurt his ankle badly … no doubt he lapped up the attention.
The SFC will start this Friday afternoon. See schedule
