  Head of School

Hiring Update - We would like to introduce our two newly hired teachers for next school year, Ian Aseltine (Science) and Laura Harmon (History / Language Arts). The HIS community will also be welcoming back Mr. Yutaka Sugino, which we are very excited about.

 Where are they now?

Krems University of Applied Sciences -- Last week I was able to catch up with Enrique Lopez (graduated 2015) to hear about his first year of university. Enrique has had a really good first half of the school year and continues to be pleased that he selected this program.. With the application of sciences in focus, Enrique finds that he spends most of his time working in teams to problem solve, so feels that the HIS approach to learning and instruction was well-suited to preparing him. His program ensures small groups and close contact with peers and teachers, which is also somewhat HIS-like.

Enrique enjoys dorm life and he has found his friends among the international students who also attend Krems. He would like to improve his German but since his program is in English and he is consistently busy, it has been hard to find the time.

We wish Enrique the best as he returns to Germany for round two of the school year.
